Abprazole Plus contains omeprazole, a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that reduces stomach acid secretion, allowing existing ulcers to heal and preventing new ones, and lactobacillus sporogenes, a probiotic that restores natural gut flora, enhances nutrient absorption, and supports overall digestive health in horses. The combination provides a dual-action approach, addressing both acid-related damage and gut microbiome balance.
Form and Administration
The product comes in flavorless, blue, enteric-coated granules, which protect omeprazole from stomach acid and ensure delivery to the small intestine . Granules can be mixed with dry or moist feed, and a small amount of oil, corn syrup, or molasses may be added to improve palatability. Each dose is effective for 24 hours, allowing once-a-day administration.
